Fellowship Hour
Today's Fellowship Hour is offered by Anestis and Angie Kalampalikis. Thank You!
Schedule of Lenten Services
Mondays 6:30 pm--Great Compline
Wednesdays 6:30 pm--Pre-Sanctified Liturgy (if you wish to receive Communion, complete fasting from after a light lunch until the service); followed by our Lenten Pot Luck and a catechetical talk
First 5 Fridays 6:30 pm--The Salutations (Chairetismoi) to the Theotokos, followed by a Lenten Tea
Theolotea
Our monthly Theolotea (combination of Theology and Tea Time!) will take place after Liturgy on the Annunciation, March 25. We will be talking about the meaning of the Lenten Services, especially the Presanctified Liturgy. All are welcome to enjoy some fellowship and learning!
Thanks!
The response to the Coalition against Homelessness's appeal for hand towels and wash cloths was overwhelming. Thanks to everyone for such generosity!
Spring General Assembly
Our Spring General Assembly will take place on Sunday, April 6, around noon. All the Stewards of our Parish are invited to take part and exercise their role as stewards of the parish.
The St. Paisios Prayer Warriors
Since prayer is a vital part both of parish life and the discipline of Lent, we are going to revive our St. Paisios Prayer Warriors. If anyone is interested in being a part of this prayer ministry please join our meeting next Sunday, March 23, during Fellowship. We are looking especially for ideas of what we can do as a group and how we want to be organized. If you are interested and cannot make the meeting, please let Father know!
District Lenten Retreat
Our Metropolis District will be getting together at 6:00 pm on Friday, March 28 (the 4th Part of the Salutations to the Theotokos) at St. George Cathedral in Manchester (that means we will not be having the Salutations in Concord that evening). After the Salutations there will be a light dinner and a talk by Mike Sintros. There will also be activities for the children. Please plan to join us for an evening of fellowship and reflection.
Greek Independence Day Celebrations
We will have our parish Greek Independence Day Celebration on Sunday, March 30, during Fellowship. Please come and support our children's presentation and efforts!
The celebration at the State House with the Governor will take place on Thursday, March 27, at 4:00 pm. All are invited to come to celebrate and witness the Governor's Greek Independence Day Proclamation.
Plan to Come!
Presbytera Dr. Jeannie Constantinou (author of Thinking Orthodox and The Crucifixiion of the King of Glory) will be giving a series of talks on Thinking Orthodox: Ancient Answers to Modern Questions on Saturday, May 3 at the St Methodios Retreat Center at our Metropolis Camp in Contoocook. There will simultaneously be events for our GOYAns and Young Adults, as well as one of the sessions geared especially for them. Please keep an eye out for more details and plan to come!
On-Line Monthly Bulletin
We are transitioning to mainly distributing our Monthly Bulletin on line. If you would like a print copy and do not have a printer of your own, there will be bulletins to pick up in the Church Hall. If you know of anyone who would like a print copy and cannot come to church to pick it up, please let Father know so we can mail a copy.
