Fellowship Hour
Today's Fellowship Hour is our annual Palm Sunday Fish Dinner. Thank you to everyone who helped make and serve the meal!
The St. Paisios Prayer Warriors
Since prayer is a vital part both of parish life and the discipline of Lent, we are going to revive our St. Paisios Prayer Warriors. If anyone is interested in being a part of this prayer ministry please let Father know. We have already begun praying for one another, for our parish family and for the world. If you have anyone you would like to have prayers for, please let Father know (no need for any details, just the first name!)

Help Light the Way for the Epitaphios
Would you like to sponsor a Luminary to light the path of the Epitaphios on Holy Friday. You can give the names for the health or for the salvation of your family and friends. Please fill out the form in this bulletin and give it to Presbytera. The offering is $5 per bag; please limit each bag to 5 names.
Can You Sponsor a Blanket?
With the beginning of April the Homeless Shelters are closing or have closed, which means the people who had some shelter during the winter are now out on the street. Needless to say, April nights can still be very cold, not to mention the constant threat of snow or icy rain. We are looking presently for 10 parishioners to sponsor 10 heavy duty blankets for us to donate to the homeless to help keep them warm. The donation is $13 a blanket. If you would like to sponsor a blanket, please see Elena Newman or Presbytera Anna. Thank you again for your continued generosity.
Palm Sunday Fish Dinner
We will be having our traditional Palm Sunday Fish Dinner today Sunday, April 13 after Liturgy. Dinners are $25; children are free. Please see a council member to purchase your tickets!
Holy Friday Retreat
Our children (from 2 years and up; for the youngest children we ask that the parents stay and help) are invited to the annual Holy Friday Retreat on April 18 from 10:30 to 2:30. You can see the schedule for the day elsewhere in this Bulletin. Please let Presbytera know as soon as possible if your children are coming so we can make sure we have enough supplies and food. An excused absence form will be available. Please remember how important it is for our children to learn and experience the love that God has for us.
Calling all our Young Ladies
Every Holy Week, the young ladies of our parish are called to imitate the holy Myrrh-bearing women. Please let Father know if your daughters would like to participate. The girls wear white dresses (if you cannot get a white dress, the church has some that can be borrowed). The main services they take part in are the Vespers of the Unnailing at 3:00 pm on Holy Friday (they wrap the body of Jesus, and accompany his funeral procession to the tomb) and the Service of Lamentations at 7:00 pm on Holy Friday (they throw rose petals on the tomb in imitation of the myrrh that the women brought to anoint the body of Jesus). They can also participate in the Service of the12 Gospels on Holy Thursday at 7:00 pm (they hold candles for the even numbered Gospels and accompany the procession of the cross). Again, please let Father know who will be participating and when.
Plan to Come!
Presbytera Dr. Jeannie Constantinou (author of Thinking Orthodox and The Crucifixiion of the King of Glory) will be giving a series of talks on Thinking Orthodox: Ancient Answers to Modern Questions on Saturday, May 3 at the St Methodios Retreat Center at our Metropolis Camp in Contoocook. There will simultaneously be events for our GOYAns and Young Adults, as well as one of the sessions geared especially for them. Please keep an eye out for more details and plan to come!
On-Line Monthly Bulletin
We are transitioning to mainly distributing our Monthly Bulletin on line. If you would like a print copy and do not have a printer of your own, there will be bulletins to pick up in the Church Hall. If you know of anyone who would like a print copy and cannot come to church to pick it up, please let Father know so we can mail a copy.
