A Note from His Eminence Concerning the Passing of the Offering Trays
Having visited many communities and served in Holy Altars in the Holy and God-protected Metropolis of Atlanta, I have noticed that the offering trays are often passed at different times during the Divine Liturgy.
The offering trays should be passed during the Divine Liturgy after the Priest exclaims:
"Και εσται τα ελεη τοu μεγαλου θεου και Σωτηρος ημων Ιησου Χριστου μετα παντων ημων" or
"And the mercies of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, be with you all."
(This takes place soon after the consecration of the Gifts after we rise from kneeling).
This Protocol is to be applied so that we may have uniformity within the Holy and God-protected Metropolis of Atlanta.
Bring Your Icons to Church for Sunday of Orthodoxy!

Oratorical Festival
The Local St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival will be held on Sunday March 12th at 1:30 pm in the Church Sanctuary. All children in 7th grade to 12th grade are asked to participate. Please see Fr. Paul and Rob for topics, speech requirements, and resources for writing and delivering a speech! We will have coaching workshops on Sunday, February 19th and March 5th at 3:00 pm.
GOYA Forgiveness Workshop
GOYA will be having food and fellowship this Sunday, February 26th at 3:15 pm as we celebrate the official beginning of Lent with The Forgiveness Vespers. Forgiveness Vespers is one of the most powerful witnesses of our Little Orthodoxy and is truly authentic beginning to the Lenten Journey that reconciles mankind with God and with one another. We will be learning about what forgiveness really means, what forgiveness is not, and how can we forgive others even when we find it difficult to do so.
