Children’s Change for Change
How do we raise kind, caring, charity-minded Orthodox youth? By actively involving them in the process! With Children's Change for Change, even the youngest members of our community can take part in charitable works. Following the conclusion of the service on the FIRST SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH, we ask one family from our AHJ community to hold collection baskets and encourage our parishioners to donate their pocket change in support of Orthodox mission work around the globe. If you're interested in involving your family in this meaningful ministry, contact Leslie Dombalis at ldombalis@gmail.com or Zoe Pusic at zpusic@yahoo.com.
Christian Caring for Creation Ministry
Did you know, April is Earth Month? As we look forward to our spiritual renewal this Pascha, remember that it is the time of our planet's renewal as well. In keeping with the aims of His Holiness, Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, the Christians Caring for Creation ministry is now COMPOSTING!!! Keep your eyes open for bins labeled "Landfill," "Recycle," and "Compost". (Our new coffee cups, for example, are 100% compostable.) If you don't know where to put something, just ask!
