LIGHT A CANDLE AND SAY A PRAYER: When you are not able to attend church, you can purchase a candle from our church website (home page or video-streaming page), which will be lit before the following service or a service that you specify. Please give specific names, living or deceased, that you would like Father to remember in prayer. Father will light candles one hour before each service. For Sunday services, please place candle orders prior to 8:00 am Sunday morning.

EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES:
GOYA MEETING TODAY: There will be a GOYA meeting following church services TODAY, Sunday, May 18th. Members will meet in the Board Room, and will hold elections for 2025-26 Officers and Committee Leaders. They will also discuss summer events.
SAINTS CONSTANTINE AND HELEN FEAST DAY SERVICES: PLEASE PLAN TO JOIN THE CELEBRATION OF OUR PARISH FEAST DAY, with the Great Vespers service, on Tuesday May 20th at 6:30 pm, followed by loukoumades reception in the HCC, and on Wednesday, May 21st for 10:00 am Divine Liturgy for the Saints Constantine and Helen Feast Day, followed by a complimentary luncheon in the HCC.
LANGSFORD MEN’S CHORUS AT ST CONS: This afternoon, Sunday May 18, the Langsford Men’s Chorus will present their concert “Old Friends” at Sts. Constantine and Helen church at 4:00 pm. EUCHRE TOURNAMENT: Our Men’s Group will be hosting a Euchre Tournament on Friday, May 23rd at the HCC. Party starts at 7:30 pm, and the cost of $45/person includes cash prizes, keg beer, wine, pizza, hot dogs, sliders, snacks and contribution toward the “Feed the Needy” and other church-related programs. MEMORIAL DAY CEMETERY VISITS: Father Teodor will be at Parkview Cemetery following the Divine Liturgy service next Sunday, May 25th; and on Memorial Day Monday May 26th from 8:00 am - 10:30 am at Grandlawn Cemetery, and from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm again at Parkview Cemetery. People with family at Glen Eden, Oakland Hills, or any other cemetery should speak with Father directly to set up those visits as his schedule allows.
PARISH PICNIC/SUNDAY SCHOOL GRADUATION: Mark your calendars for our annual St Cons’ parish Picnic and Sunday School graduation, on Sunday June 1st. It’s always a fun time with lots of delicious food to share, large outdoor games and inflatables for the kids, and nostalgic ice cream treats for the kid in all of us!
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL! Our Vacation Bible School, for young people Pre K – 6th grade, will be held the week of June 16 – 20. The focus of the week will be “Mary: Theotokos, Mother of God”. The group will make a day trip to the Holy Trinity Monastery on 6/19. Register your children today, using the QR code on the flyer, or by contacting Joy Kisabeth or Maria Haviland.
BIBLE STUDY: There will be no Adult Bible Study this week, due to the Great Vespers for Saints Constantine and Helen. Bible Study will resume on Tuesday, May 27th.

CEREAL BOX DRIVE/DOMINO CHALLENGE: Our GOYA members are asking for your donation of boxes of cereal from May 4th – May 30th! The cereal will be donated to the Wayne/ Westland schools for summer breakfast programs. At the end of the challenge, join the fun when the boxes are set up like dominos – and we watch them fall!
HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE GRADUATES! Please help us to honor our graduates! Submit the following to the church office by June 1st: a photo (headshot) of your graduate, the name of school they are graduating from, the school they will attend (HS grads) or the degree they have achieved (College grads) and their course of study, and the parents’/grandparents’ names. Please forward as a digital file to: [email protected] Our graduates will be honored and receive a special gift on Sunday, June 15th.
FAITH SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE: This scholarship program aims to support the best and brightest graduating high-school seniors in the Hellenic-American Greek Orthodox community planning to attend a 4-year accredited US university this fall. Scholarships are awarded on a merit basis with applicants given the option to be considered for additional financial need-based allocations. MEMORIAL SERVICES: Please call the church office to schedule all memorials and coffee hour sponsorships at least two weeks in advance. On the day of the service, please bring a list of family names you would like Father to remember in prayer. The requested Coffee Hour Sponsorship donation is $200. Koliva will be distributed to parishioners at the coffee hour; if you wish to bring in paximadia, koulourakia, or other dry cookie it may also be distributed.
REMEMBER THE CHURCH IN YOUR WILL: You’ve supported the church your whole life, remembering us in your estate plan will help the church when you’re gone. Consult your estate planner or contact the Church office for information. We are grateful to our parishioners who have left bequests to the church in the last few years.
