Please give specific names, living or deceased, that you would like Father to remember in prayer. Father will light candles one hour before each service. EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES:
SUPERBOWL SUPERSNACKS! Our Moms’ Group will be holding a “Super Snack” sale after church TODAY, Sunday, February 9th! This is a one-stop shop for all your sweet and salty game-watching treats! Support this effort and buy something tasty to take home for the game.
GODPARENTS SUNDAY: Next Sunday, February 16th is Godparents’ Sunday at Saints Constantine and Helen! Please plan to come to church and take communion with your Godchildren, or Godparents, and share this important day together. There will be a special children’s sermon and prayer during the service, and Sunday School teachers will have special activities and lessons.
BIBLE STUDY: Our Adult Bible Study will meet this week on Tuesday, February 11th at 7:00 pm on the ZOOM platform. Link: https://zoom.us/j/7345256789, Meeting ID: 734 525 6789. All adults are welcome to join us for continued study and discussion on the book of Matthew.

IT'S ALMOST HERE! GREEKFEST 2025! Our 2025 GreekFest will be held on February 21, 22, and 23. Plan to be there with friends and family to enjoy the fun! We need YOUR HELP to make it a success!

TUESDAY TLC “WORK PARTY”: Our TLC group will meet at noon on Tuesday, February 18th, to help with GreekFest preparations! Lunch will be provided free that day. Come on out and help!
ORATORICAL FESTIVAL: The St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival will be held on Saturday, March 8th at our parish following the Saturday of Souls Divine Liturgy service. It is a national program where Orthodox youth, grades 7 – 12, present speeches discussing the Greek Orthodox faith and the Church. Youth can earn cash awards at the parish level and scholarship awards if they make it to the Nationals. SATURDAY OF THE SOULS: Saturday of the Souls is dedicated to those who left this world. We will have Divine Liturgy at 10:00 a.m. at our Church, on Saturday, February 22nd, March 1st, and March 8th followed by Memorial Service. Please come so we can pray together for their souls and if you can, bring koliva (wheat), prosfora (bread), wine, oil and the names of the deceased.
PRESANCTIFIED LITURGY LECTURE SERIES: Each Wednesday during Lent, beginning on Wednesday, March 5th, our parish will hold a Lecture and Lenten Pot Luck following the Presanctified Liturgy services. This year’s theme is “Holy Traditions, traditions, and “Yiayia-ology”.” Mark those evenings on your calendar and plan to join us.
ANNUAL KOULOUMA LUNCHEON: Save the Date! Our annual Koulouma luncheon will be held on Sunday, March 9th following the Divine Liturgy service. This traditional Lenten meal is prepared and served by our St. Helen Philoptochos members, as we gather together as a parish to start the Great Lent.

ANNUAL HOME BLESSINGS: Father Teodor will continue to be available for home blessings through the beginning of Lent (March 3rd). FIRE RELIEF FUND: In response to the devastation caused by the recent and ongoing fires in Southern California, the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, in collaboration with the Metropolis of San Francisco and the National Philoptochos Society, has launched a fundraising campaign to assist those affected by this tragedy. MEMORIAL SERVICES: Please call the church office to schedule all memorials and coffee hour sponsorships at least two weeks in advance. On the day of the service, please bring a list of family names you would like Father to remember in prayer. The requested Coffee Hour Sponsorship donation is $200. Koliva will be distributed to parishioners at the coffee hour; if you wish to bring in paximadia, koulourakia, or other dry cookie it may also be distributed.
