The 4th annual Men Who Cook will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3! Philoptochos will be selling tickets to the event during this week's coffee hour. All proceeds  will benefit the charities of the Philoptochos.

The Sterea Hellas Foundation of Cleveland will be holding a Hellenic Dance on Saturday, October 3, 2026 from 7:00 pm - 12:00 am at 7890 Brookside Dr., Olmsted Falls OH. Music to be provided by Karizma. Donation is $20.00 per person (children under 13 years old Free) and includes a full cash bar and mezethakia platters. Orthodox Forum has resumed for the fall season. This series will be focused on "The Meaning of Miracles in Modern Day". Please join us in the conference room at 11:30 am on Sunday, Oct. 4th when Dr. Michael Kellis will be our first speaker. See you at the Forum!

New Altar Boys are invited to join the group. Boys must be at least 10 years old, willing to commit to regular attendance and must attend an orientation on Saturday, October 3, 1:00-2:00 PM. Those interested should contact Fr Stephen by email- [email protected].

Metallinos Guitar Workshop Enters its Fourth Year

MGW will be meeting again on October 6 at 7 pm. We'll be beginning our fourth year with an introduction to the Travis guitar picking technique as it applies to the songs Puff the Magic Dragon and Leaving on a Jet Plane. We'll also be reviewing John Denver songs Rocky Mountain High and Poems, Prayers and Promises from our last session. All are invited!

Sunshine Group:  Our October lunch is Thursday, October 15 at 12:30 PM at Crostatas.  Crostatas is at 558 Bishop Rd, Highland Heights, OH 44143.  Please bring $20/pp.  Crostatas is a lovely family-owned Italian restaurant.  We will enjoy a family-style lunch.  Our last visit was a big success! November 12 is the date of our lunch and is the second Thursday of the month.  The Sunshine Christmas party will be December 3 which is the FIRST Thursday in December.  Our catered Christmas party is held at church, and we always have a wonderful time.

The topic is “Light Streams In” In turbulent times, how are Christians to engage with this modern world and find Christ's light in darkness?

The Zoom Book Group has returned on Thurs. evenings from 7:30-8:30 pm, running until Nov. 12. They will be reading The Orthodox Way, written by Metropolitan Kallistos Ware of Diokleia (of Blessed Memory), a renowned theologian, scholar, teacher, writer and lecturer at Oxford University.

Saint Makrina Bible Study will be returning to the book "Let Us be Attentive - Refections on the Sunday and Feastday Scripture Readings of the Orthodox Church". Please join us. We try to align our readings with the church calendar. 
You can participate as much or as little as you’d like. We meet every Wednesday at 9:30 am over Zoom. You do not have to attend every session and can participate in the discussions as much or as little as you wish. We would love to have you!
