Monthly Potluck
All are welcome to join us in the Parish Hall for this fellowship meal following Divine Liturgy on the first Sunday of each month. Please bring a dish to share with the Parish (store-bought is also fine). Students - you are our guests, no need to bring anything. See you then!
Stewardship
Orthodox Christian Stewardship is a way of life, which acknowledges accountability, reverence and responsibility before God. Becoming a Steward begins when we believe in God, to whom we give our love, loyalty, and trust and act on those beliefs. As Stewards, we affirm that every aspect of our lives comes as a gift from Him. Stewardship calls on the faithful to cheerfully offer back to God a portion of the gifts with which they have been blessed. If you have not already done so, please pick up your stewardship cards for 2022 and return as soon as possible to the church office or to Johnny Giotes.
Prosphoro Baking
If you have recently taken the prosphora baking class, we would love for you to be a part of making the bread for Divine Liturgy. If you would like to serve the church in this way, please sign up at www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0D4AAFAA2AA6FEC61-prosphoro If you need a stamp, the church office has one available for checkout. Please see Robyn or Fr. Daniel to borrow it.
Online Giving
If you would like to make an online donation to St. Nicholas during this time, please use Paypal and the church email address ([email protected]) to do so.
Prayer Requests
"We should pray for our neighbors not because God does not know how to save them, but because He wants us to participate in one another’s salvation." - Metropolitan Hilarion
Please remember these in your daily prayers:
- Anna Kazanas
- Keith Adkins (Susan Colon's dad) - cancer
- Despoina Farrow
Please let Robyn know if you would like to add anyone or remain on the list longer than 30 days.
Orthodox Campus Fellowship
OCF is a ministry for college students that meets on Thursdays at 6:30pm. Please contact Father Daniel for more information.
Sacrament of Holy Communion (Non-Orthodox Visitors)
It is with the deepest regret that we ask you to abstain from receiving Holy Communion. This is a sacrament reserved only for those who are baptized, chrismated and prepared Orthodox Christians. It pains us to turn away a Christian who loves and worships the Lord Jesus, but because of the separation of the Christian churches and the different understanding we have about the Sacrament of Holy Communion, we ask you to abstain. Do come and receive the blessed bread at the conclusion of the service.
Visitors
We are happy to have you worshiping with us today. Please stay and join us for coffee hour after the Divine Liturgy so that we may meet you.
