Holy Cross: Tomorrow 9/13 we celebrate the Feast of the Elevation of the Holy Cross. Immediately following Orthros and before the Divine Liturgy, a brief prayer service and procession will be offered in honor of this feast. Afterwards, the faithful will be invited to come forward with reverence to venerate a relic of the True Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ

Coffee Hour Fundraiser for Holy Cross: Today's Coffee Hour (9/13) is hosted by Father Thomas. There will be a basket out where you can give a free-will offering to support our local seminarians from our own Metropolis of Denver. 100% of money raised during Coffee Hour will go towards helping future priests who will serve our faithful. If you want to donate a check, please make it out to “Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church” & in the memo write: Holy Cross Seminary Fundraiser. Thank you for your support of our seminarians!

Basil for the Holy Cross: Tomorrow, September 14, we will celebrate the Elevation of the Holy Cross. Fr. Thomas is in need of fresh basil to adorn the Holy Cross table for the procession. If you are able, please bring your basil to the Solea anytime between now and then. Potted plants are welcome as well—and you may take them back home after the Divine Liturgy to continue growing.

Intro to Orthodoxy Class: If you would like to know more about the Orthodox faith- this class is for you! We will meet on Wednesdays at 6:00pm for an evening prayer service followed by the class at 7:00pm. The next class will be held Sept 16th. Child-care for ages 6-12 is provided. Poster Contest: Calling all Greek Orthodox children ages 5-18! Submit your 8" × 10" artwork to honor our Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew. Last day to submit: Oct 1. See Olga Plomarity for details.

Bible Study: Want to learn more about the Holy Scriptures? Hear what Fr. Thomas has to share about context & historical interpretations of the Bible. The Bible studies will be held on Thursdays in the Fellowship Hall at 7:00pm beginning Sept 24th. Refreshments will be provided.

Greek Fest Raffle Tickets! This year we are raffling off a fantastic trip to Las Vegas! Please share with your friends and family. Tickets cost only $25 & the winner will be selected on Nov 8. You do not need to be present to win. Please see Olga Plomarity to pick up your raffle tickets.

THANK YOU !!!  Corpus Christi Oyster & Seafood Festival: Thank you to everyone that volunteered this past weekend. We were able to spread the word of our upcoming Greek Festival as well as make some money to offset the cost of our Festival. We appreciate all our volunteers!

Fellowship Hall Update: Downstairs you will find an improved and cleaner space for our Fellowship Hall. The Parish Council has worked hard in organizing, cleaning up the space, and hanging the curtains to make the environment more inviting. Please help us by monitoring your children closely and encouraging them not to play behind the curtains, or with the Greek Fest equipment. Please clean up your tables when you are ready to leave, etc. Thank you!

Coffee Hour Needs Help: We are in need of volunteers to host the Coffee Hour. A sign-up list with many open Sundays is located downstairs, posted on the side of the walk-in refrigerator. Hosting simply involves providing a few light snacks and staying afterward to assist Father Thomas with cleanup. The Parish Council greatlt appreciates your help!

Confession: Father Thomas will be available for confession each Saturday after the service of Great Vespers. There is no need to make an appointment. If you would like to schedule a time outside of Saturday evening for confession, please contact Fr. Thomas.
