FR. SAV MEMORIAL MISSION WALK

Each year, we participate in this event, which raises money for IOCC, OCMC, our Holy Cross Seminary, and local charities. Please join the effort Saturday, October 7th, from 9:30 am—2 pm at First Landing State Park, Va. Beach. Registernow.  It is also a good opportunity to make friends and build fellowship with our sister parishioners.

FROM YOUR PARISH COUNCIL

Dear Fellow Parishioners
 
This past Sunday, we had a Special Parish General Assembly meeting to discuss the roof status.  The meeting was well attended with a quorum of the parish.  At the meeting, the parish approved a motion to proceed with the roof repair using architectural asphalt shingles for the church roof with a budget for all repairs not to exceed $400,000.  As part of this motion, parish council is also authorized to negotiate a contract with an architect / engineer to provide support to the parish through the repair process as needed.  By having this approval, parish council can now procure and select contractors to perform the appropriate repairs on the different parts of the Church and Hellenic Center complex.
