On behalf of the Parish Council and Festival Committee, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone who participated and supported our 2024 Greek Festival.
From all the parishioners who sent in monetary donations for food, to our restaurant and business owners who provided food, supplies and services, to all the ladies that spent hours and weeks of baking and food prepping, to all our youth that entertained us all with their Greek Dancing, to the bus drivers that shuttled our visitors to and from the college, our security and cleaning service providers, and to everyone who donated their time over the weekend to work at the festival. Our gymnasium was packed with vendors and helped shelter many of us from the rain while the ladies' sold pastries and coffees. We had a tremendous turnout from everyone and we are truly, truly thankful and blessed to have had the success we did.
The weekend was unfortunately dampened by the weather with the rain, but this did not deter us and the local community from coming out to support us. We received many compliments on our food and set up and of course our amazing kids that danced their hearts out in their traditional Hellenic costumes. We do not have numbers we can share at this time but needless to say, the festival was very successful considering the obstacles and weather. The committee will regroup in the coming weeks to review the weekend and discuss any ideas of growing and improving our amazing festival so please feel free to reach out to any committee member with any thoughts and ideas.
Again, we thank you, your families and your friends for your dedication to our Saint Barbara Parish and for always coming out to support the Greek Festival and we look forward to seeing you all again next year - OPA!
Thank you.
Father Paul Pappas
Savvas Kyriakou (President of the Parish Council)
Sotiris Sergiou (Festival Chairman)
Denise Galazzo (Festival Co-Chair)

Father Paul wishes to invite any interested young man, from the age of 8 through high school to contact him directly if he desires to serve in the Altar for this coming year. Parents should let Fr. Paul or the church office know about signing up their interested son for this special ministry. Serving at the Altar is indeed a great blessing and it belongs to those who are serious in their commitment.
