St. George Annual Greek Dance
Save the date - Saturday, November 4 from 7-11PM at Wellman Commons (Bangor Masonic Center venue), 300 Union Street, Bangor. There will be a food buffet featuring Greek and American dishes, including a gyros bar and baklava for dessert. Beer & wine will be available. $30 per ticket in advance, $35 at the door. There will be live music (Greek dance music) and plenty of opportunity to show off your steps after dinner!
Paideia Hellenic Society of Maine - OXI Day Dinner Dance

The Hellenic Society Paideia of Maine is holding an OXI DAY Dinner-Dance Celebration on Saturday, October 28 Novebmer 11, 2023. The location is the Elks Club at 1945 Congress Street, Portland. Cocktail Hour begins at 6pm followed by a buffet dinner and music provided by DJ Angelo Sotiropoulos.
Hellenic Society Paideia of Maine is a non-profit organization which promotes Greek culture here in the Pine Tree State. We offer 4 tuition scholarships to the Metropolis Boston Camp in Contoocook NH, as well as 4 scholarships to high school seniors heading to college. Additionally, we donate to the Greek Festivals or fundraisers held by the four Greek Orthodox Churches in Maine.
Please join us on November 11 for a night of Greek music, dancing and wonderful parea!
The cost for adults is $ 50; Students $ 10. We encourage you to bring your children, grandchildren, nieces & nephews so they can learn traditional Greek songs and dances.

Greek Mythology in the Night Sky
Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023 at 1 p.m.
This extremely popular program will once again be presented in the Southworth Planetarium in the USM Science Building, Falmouth Street, on the USM Portland campus. Explore the rich realm of night sky mythology under the stars with planetarium director Edward Herrick-Gleason. Within one hour you will discover the legends and lore of the stars and planets. Perseus slays the Gorgon Medusa. Pegasus arises from her blood. Bellerophon tames Pegasus and slays the Chimera. Cassiopeia's brag becomes Andromeda's despair. Gods and monsters; forlorn lovers and ancient warriors: see them all amongst the stars. Limited Seating (62 Seats). For Reservations call the Planetarium at: 207-780-4249.
