This saint was known for the many miracles he worked and for his apostolic zeal in shepherding the flock of Sinope. He contested for the Faith during the reign of the Emperor Trajan, in the year 102, when he was burned to death in a bath-house. A homily in his honour was composed by Saint John Chrysostom. The translation of his holy relics is celebrated on July 23.
Today we pray for the repose of the souls of the servants of God Efthimios (Tom) Soupos (40 days), Trisevgeni Fotinakes (40 days), Dimitrios Spiropoulos (3 years) & Athanasios Bacoulis (3 years). May their memory be eternal.

Father Christos will have Orthodox Catechism Class for everyone on the 4th Sunday of every month before Divine Liturgy in the Church from September – March 9:30-10:00 AM. The first class will be on Sunday, September 29, 2024.
