This Martyr was from Catania in Sicily and contested during the reign of Diocletian. He presented himself of his own accord to Calvisianus the Governor, who put him to exceedingly harsh torments. As Euplus was on the rack, Calvisianus commanded him to worship Mars, Apollo, and Aesculapius; he answered he worshipped the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He was beheaded in the year 304.

FESTIVAL TIME is just around the corner and Long Beach Festival is truly known for its authentic baked goods. What this means is, baking time is ahead. It is with your hands and heart that we are so successful. Join in the baking fun, learn new recipes and meet new people.
We start at 9 am and lunch will be served.

August, is the time to celebrate Panagia’s name day (Aug. 15). We will continue our tradition with our dessert buffet on August 14th following Vespers. This is your opportunity to bring your best Lenten dessert to share with our community and guests and to show your love to our church.

BACKPACK DRIVE - Summer may be on its way but it is the perfect time to help with the Philoptochos Operation Classroom Project. Last year with your help we were able to donate $5,500 that provided over 200 back packs and supplies to Long Beach children in need. Check your mail as you will be receiving our request for donations soon. A $35 donation will help buy and fill a backpack with supplies for a child in need and also buy books for underprivileged children in Long Beach. All proceeds from this drive are given to various Long Beach philanthropic organizations that assist families in need.
