His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America has designated October 27, 2024, as the sixteenth observance of National Leadership 100 Sunday. This celebration, closest to the Feast Day of St. Iakovos, is in honor of the Founder of Leadership 100, Archbishop Iakovos of Blessed Memory.Demetrios G. Logothetis, Chairman of Leadership 100, stated: “Leadership 100 is concluding the celebration of its 40th Anniversary this year and has been acclaimed for offering timely support of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, which advances Orthodoxy and Hellenism. The annual observance of National Leadership 100 Sunday in parishes across the nation is a testimony to this commitment, true to the legacy of Archbishop Iakovos.”Leadership 100 has 1,326 members from a broad spectrum of Greek Orthodox leaders, men and women of all ages from every field of endeavor. Since its founding, Leadership 100 has distributed more than $77 million in grants to the National Ministries and Institutions of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, including the only Greek Orthodox Theological School in the United States, Holy Cross, as well as to Metropolis Ministries and humanitarian needs in the nation and around the world. |
