FISH DINNER: The ladies of the Philoptochos are sponsoring and preparing the Annual Palm Sunday Fish Dinner following the Palm Sunday Liturgy. Everyone is invited to attend and enjoy the fellowship and meal together. A donation of $12 for adults and $5 for children under 12 is requested. Easter candles ($10) and Tsourekia ($8) will be available for purchase
HOLY WEDNESDAY, April 12 Service of Holy Unction Anointing 7:00 pm - 8:45 pm. Service of Holy Unction with the anointing for health and healing. Bring names of loved ones for prayers for health and healing.
HOLY THURSDAY, Holy Passion, April 13 Divine Liturgy 8:00 am. Celebrating the Last Supper of our Lord with His Disciples. Prepare and receive Holy Communion. After Liturgy come and help dyeing Easter Eggs. Volunteers are asked to stay and help with the egg dyeing (probably 10:00 am to 11:00 am). The church will be open 6:00am - 12:00 noon. 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm Matins with the Twelve Passion Gospels. The crucifixion of our Lord Jesus Christ. Veneration of the precious Cross of Christ to be set up in the center of the Church for reflection and veneration.
HOLY FRIDAY, April 14 Decorating the Epitaphio 12:00 noon - 3:00 pm. Please come and help decorate the Epitaphio. 3:00 pm The Service of Hours will be chanted. 4:00 pm Vespers and Apokathelosis. Taking down our Lord from the Cross. 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm Lamentations. Burial Procession of our Lord (Epitaphio). Distribution of Epitaphio flowers. (Bring lists of names for prayers for the departed)
HOLY SATURDAY, April 15 Divine Liturgy, 8:00 am. Celebrating and remembering our Lord’s Descent into Hades. Flower petals spread throughout the church. Changing of altar covers from Holy Week dark to Paschal white. Prepare & receive Holy Communion. The church will be open 6:00am - 12:00 noon.
PASCHAL SERVICES, Saturday April 15, MIDNIGHT RESURRECTION SERVICE OF HOLY PASCHA. (served at midnight on Saturday) 11:15 pm Nocturne 12:00 Midnight - 1:15 am Paschal Procession outside the church, and Paschal Divine Liturgy. Plan to stay a little longer at the Paschal Liturgy to Receive Holy Communion at this most joyful and bright once-a-year Paschal Liturgy. 1:15 am Agape Meal in the Church Hall. Bring Paschal foods and celebrate Pascha at this communal Agape Meal at church. Please put your name and number of persons attending on the sign-up sheet in the church vestibule.
FOOD DONATION DRIVE. The Philoptochos continues with the "FOOD DONATION DRIVE" to support New Haven area Food Pantries. The Food Drive will go on through mid April. When you come to Church please bring your donations of non-perishable foods, cans, pasta, etc. If you prefer to make a money donation, you may do so by making your check out to "ST. BASIL PHILOPTOCHOS." At the end of the drive the Philoptochos will send their check for the total amount of these donations to the Food Pantry. Thank you, Dora Saunders, Philoptochos President

There is a sign up sheet on one of the bulletin boards and pick one of the Sundays and add your name to the list. CHURCH CONSTRUCTION Ceiling/roof insulation is being installed. Electrical wiring installation has been completed. Wall insulation is being done at this time to be followed by sheet rock panel installation on the ceiling and walls.
