Fellowship Hour
Today's Fellowship Hour is sponsored by the Sunday School families.
There are still plenty of Sundays to sign up for Fellowship Hour! This is an important ministry; our Fellowship Hour is the continuation of the ancient Christian practice of the Agape Meal or Love Feast celebrated in conjunction with the Liturgy. The Fellowship Hour offering should be simple; you can also team up with friends or family so that the burden is not so great for one person. Please take a look at the list and choose a Sunday!.
The Holy Fire
The miraculous fire that appears in our Lord's tomb every Holy Saturday has been traditionally taken to major Orthodox countries, like Russia, for the celebration of the Anastasis. This year for the first time the Russian Church Outside of Russia has been able to bring the Holy Fire to America. Thanks to Fr. Spyridon, pastor of St. John the Russian Orthodox Church in Ipswich MA, we have been blessed to be able to bring the Holy Fire to our own altar. A Vigil Light is availabe on the Sacraments Table for anyone who would like to get a candle to bring the Holy Fire to their own home. Christ is risen!
Kali Parea
Our next Kali Parea outing to the Labelle Winery will take place on Thursday, May 18. Lunch is at noon, and the tour at 2:00. We will be meeting in the parking lot of the church at 10:30 to carpool there. There are only 14 places available, so it is first come, first serve. To reserve a spot, please call Maria Bryant at 224-7311. Don't delay and lose your chance to come!
Check Out the Raffle Prizes
The four Greek baskets which will be raffled this evening at the Dance are on display during Fellowship Hour. You have the opportunity to buy some chances to try to win them. It is a Chinese auction, so you can put your tickets in the container for the basket you want.
