Fellowship Hour
Today's Fellowship Hour is our annual Palm Sunday Fish Dinner, sponsored by Basil Hadges in memory of his beloved wife Evanthia. Efcharistoume parapoly!
There are still plenty of Sundays to sign up for Fellowship Hour! This is an important ministry; our Fellowship Hour is the continuation of the ancient Christian practice of the Agape Meal or Love Feast celebrated in conjunction with the Liturgy. The Fellowship Hour offering should be simple; you can also team up with friends or family so that the burden is not so great for one person. Please take a look at the list and choose a Sunday!.

Palm Sunday
Today, Palm Sunday, large branches of Palms will be blessed at the end of Orthros and available to be taken at the Pangari as you get your candles. Be sure to get one to hold during Liturgy, especially during the Gospel and during the procession at the end of Liturgy. Weather permitting, we will be processing outside, around the church. At the end of the procession, the Palm crosses will be blessed and distributed.
The 2nd collection today is for assistance for the operational expenses of the Church. Please be as generous as possible.
After Liturgy we will have our annual Palm Sunday Fish Dinner. Get your tickets now; a limited number of tickets are available. Tickets are $25 a piece for adults.
All Night Vigil
As was the practice in the early Church, we will be having an all-night Vigil before the Estavromenos (Crucified Christ). Every hour should be covered by someone (or more than one person!). Please sign up on the schedule in the Church Hall. The Vigil will begin with the reading of the Holy Friday Sermon of St. George of Nicomedia, which he preached during this vigil in the 9th century.
Holy Friday Retreat
Our young people will have the opportunity to gather together on Holy Friday from 10:00 to 3:00 to learn and meditate on the meaning of this day and to do some service projects. If your children will be coming, please see Fr. Consantine or Presbytera Anna. Forms will also be available for the schools for an excused absence.
Can You Read an Exotic Language?
If you can, we are looking for you to read the Gospel for the Agape Vespers in that language. Please see Father Constantine if you can! Last year we had 20 languages, but we can always use more! This is a powerful reminder of the universality of the message of the Resurrection!
Paschal Delicacies Order Sign-Up Sheets
Everyone needs Tsourekia and Koulourakia for your Pascha Feasts. The Philoptochos will be making these necessities for sale. A sign-up sheet is available at the Bulletin Board to place your order. A limited number are available for sale; first come, first serve!
Order a luminary for Holy Friday
You will find an order form in this bulletin for luminary bags for Holy Friday. You can give names of the living or the deceased to be written on the bags. The bags contain votive candles which will be lit, and they will line the path of the Epitaphios during the procession. We are asking a $10 donation per bag.
Donations for Holy Week
The following items are still needed for Holy Week. Please tell Father if you wish to donate an item:
Palms $140
2 Large Flower Arrangements $45 each
Do You Have Something for the Raffle Baskets for the Dance
Make sure to look at the donation box in the Hall for items for the Baskets to be raffled at the 85th Anniversary Dance. The baskets have different Greek themes, and donated items will help to lower the expense. Your generous help, as always, is greatly appreciated!
Calling All Photos
We would like to collect all the old photographs of the parish and the church in order to put together a Memory CD for the dance. If you have any old pictures, please bring them to church marked with your name. You will get them back! Thank you for your help!
